Swedish falukorv with horseradish-sauce recipe.


Falukorv with horseradish sauce. A Swedish classic which is easy to
make and delicious to eat. (in Swedish: Falukorv med pepparrotssås.)

Serves four:

about 600 grams (1.3 pounds) Falukorv sausage

Horseradish sauce:

3 dl (1.2 cups) Cream, double or single
2-3 tbs grated Horseradish
1/4 Onion
1/2 Stock Cube

Butter for frying

1. Begin with removing the wrap from the falukorv-sausage. Then cut the sausage in medium thick slices

2. Finely chop the onion, fry in a little bit of butter until soft, then add the horseradish and let cook for a few seconds.

3. Add cream and simmer, add the half stock cube and let the sauce thicken. Remove from heat and cover with lid.

4. Fry the sausage slices crisp in butter. Serve together with the horseradish sauce, mustard and mashed potatoes.
